To whom it may concern,

I have known the applicant, Devola for 10 years as a close family friend and have watched him mature into a highly intelligent, gregarious and capable young DJ whose goal has always been to play good music.

Given that I know over 20 other Djs, deal with many music critics both online and in print, and that my husband is a Surgeon, I feel reasonably qualified to assess the personal requirements necessary for success in music.

Devola shows exceptional ability musically and socially but more importantly he is well-grounded, mature for his years and relatively “street wise”. He shows a determination to succeed combined with a sense of being able to cut to the crux of what a good song is. His sincere empathy allows compassion whilst he is still able to exhibit enough strength to remain calm during a bad song request crisis.

Devola has a good understanding of the practice of DJing and is resilient enough to tackle whatever challenges this art form may entail. He is creative and able to think outside the box, using his insight to evaluate the facts and arrive at a timely conclusion.
